What is it with the wild audience applause for Ramy as Mamdani? Do they think that's really the real guy or something? Unless Ramy Youssef, whom I like a lot, is more popular than I have thought. For a while, I thought we might get an overlong summer recap cold open, but I like how this one seems more low-key and New York-focused. While he looks nothing like him, Ramy is at least fun as the Mayor, especially lampooning how he uses social media.
